MIDNIGHT HOLLOW
Friday
It was Byron Berline’s Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival that introduced the four men who comprise Midnight Hollow. While jamming in the camp, they found one another. The band performed their first show at Berline’s Double Stop Fiddle Shop in Guthrie, OK. A rising fan favorite, Midnight Hollow released a full-length album in June 2022. Jonathan Hunt, of the Hunt Brothers Band, was the engineer of Can’t Make Things Right, and the recording was completed on the stage of The Double Stop Fiddle Shop.
THE BAZEMORES
Friday/Saturday
We are a four piece band based out of Bristow, OK! We have been playing as a bluegrass band for about 4 years. Over those past years we have placed 1st in the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival youth band competition three times (2018, 2019, 2021) and we have placed fifth in the nationwide KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Band Competition. We have performed after Bobby Osborne and Rocky Top Express and have performed for multiple years at the Bluegrass and Chili Fest in Wagoner, OK.
FINLEY RIVER BOYS
Friday
The Finley River Boys is a high-energy, acoustic bluegrass band that performs a wide variety of bluegrass, country, folk, and gospel songs. The band’s unique, rich blend of tight, four-part harmonies and intricate instrumental breaks captivate audiences everywhere. The Finley River Boys feature Brad Reynolds (upright bass, vocals), Bill Crider (guitar, vocals), Brett Dudenhoeffer (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), and Alan Johnston (banjo, mandolin, vocals).
ROVING GAMBLERS
Saturday
From Northwest Arkansas. A great regional band who plays a variety of music styles including Bluegrass, Country and Gospel. Nominated for Arkansas Bluegrass Band of the Year, they bring their award- winning talent back to the Tallgrass stage for the third year.
SPRINGSTREET
Saturday
From Northeast, Oklahoma. SpringStreet got their start in 1990 when they went to Arkansas to see Bill Monroe. The street by the auditorium was Spring Street, so they chose that name. Thirty years later, they have developed their sound with a combination of bluegrass, gospel, folk and even some rock n’ roll from time to time.
CASEY PENN BAND
Saturday
Based in Central Arkansas, Casey Penn is an Arkansas Country Music Award-nominated songwriter, performing bluegrass and Americana artist, and a happy new member of the Mountain Fever Records family. Casey has pre-released three singles from her album, One Step Away with full release on Feb. 10, 2023. Her newest single, "We Go Together Like a Guitar and a Fiddle," is also available now. Her first single for the label, "Chasing Rainbows," earned a spot on the Bluegrass Today’s Top 20 Song chart a few months ago. Casey's first album for Mountain Fever is forthcoming.
Casey is a former founding member of the Americana duo Lee Street Lyrical. Now dissolved, the band was a repeat ACMA nominee for Acoustic Act of the Year. The LSL release, “I’ll Never Be A Mountain Girl,” written by Penn and Irene Kelley, reached #8 on Bluegrass Today’s Weekly Grassicana chart.
